Hopper Session - 90 Minutes
Design multiple prototypes in order to find the most effective way to move a robot without using wheels.
This Lego based session will help students to develop their STEM skills in a creative and engaging way.

The students will:
- Explore the process of creating prototypes to solve a problem
- Work collaboratively to create a winning design
- Compete against other designs to test their creation
In addition to developing their STEM skills, students will also develop key soft skills including:
- Resilience and Perseverance
- Creative Thinking
- Planning
- Teamwork
- Problem Solving
Resilience Follow Up - 30 Minutes
After the LEGO session, students will participate in an interactive deep dive into Resilience and Perseverance. Through this session, they will gain a clear understanding of these essential skills and explore their practical applications—from overcoming challenges in school to achieving long-term success in their future careers.
Requirements
Prior to delivering this session, schools will need a to provide a signed Data Sharing Agreement and student cohort data (documents and support to complete will be provided to schools on receipt of the resource request). Registers of students who participated in the lesson to be returned to LiNCHigher within 1 week of the lesson taking place. This is to enable reporting of student engagement with the Uni Connect project regulators, the Office for Students.
