Apprenticeships (40 - 50 mins)
Enable learners specifically interested in following an apprenticeship pathway post-16 or post-18 to fully understand this progression route including dispelling myths around work-based learning options and gaining a greater understanding of the recruitment and selection process.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this lesson learners should be able to:
• Explain what an apprenticeship is and the different levels of entry for apprenticeships.
• Identify what is true or false about apprenticeships.
• Understand the stages involved in the apprenticeship application process and the competitive nature of the recruitment process.
• Know how to start finding apprenticeship opportunities.

Prior to making these resources available, schools will need a to provide a signed Data Sharing Agreement and student cohort data (documents and support to complete will be provided to schools on receipt of the resource request). Registers of students who participated in the lesson to be returned to LiNCHigher within 1 week of the lesson taking place. This is to enable reporting of student engagement with the Uni Connect project regulators, the Office for Students.
