LiNCHigher hosts Never Such Innocence Roadshow

On Friday 8th November 2024, LiNCHigher proudly hosted the Never Such Innocence Roadshow at Bishop Grosseteste University, welcoming Armed Forces students from two primary schools and two secondary schools – for a day dedicated to creative expression through art and poetry.

LiNCHigher chairs the SCiP Alliance Hub in Lincolnshire and East Midlands which aims to improve the outcomes for children of Military families. LiNCHigher team members were at the event to talk to the students and support them in their activities throughout the day.

The students participated in inspiring workshops, creating impressive artwork and powerful poetry on themes of conflict, peace, and remembrance. In the afternoon, they presented their work to an esteemed audience, including the Mayor of Lincoln, the City Sheriff, representatives from Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln County Council, and local Armed Forces personnel.

The event allowed these young talents to share their perspectives and engage with community leaders who offered words of encouragement and photo opportunities for the young people. The Roadshow served as a wonderful reminder of the importance of supporting young voices in the community.
