Ermine Community Hub: A Thriving Space for Learning and Connection

LiNCHigher recently visited the Ermine Community Hub in Lincoln, a new vital resource for local residents, offering books, technology, events, and a welcoming space for the community. Since being taken over by Bishop Grosseteste University, the hub has gone from strength to strength, on open day, they received 221 visitors with 115 of those being newcomers to the hub.

Located on Ravendale Drive (LN2 2BT), the hub now provides a well-equipped computer room, giving visitors access to digital resources, the internet, and printing services. Whether you're a student needing to do research, a job seeker updating your CV, or simply someone looking to stay connected, the space is open to all. The library itself is well-stocked with fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books, meaning there is something for everyone.

Beyond books and technology, the Ermine Community Hub offers plenty of room for clubs, activities, and community events. Whether it's a local book club, craft sessions, or a support group, the space is designed to bring people together. The beautiful garden at the hub is a peaceful area where visitors can relax, read, or engage in outdoor community gardening projects.

Since its reopening, the hub has hosted events like Citizens Advice drop-in sessions, providing essential support for those in need. With the backing of Bishop Grosseteste University, the space continues to grow as a key hub for learning, connection, and community support.
